About

Photography by Rick & Deb Larson aka: akaurora

Since moving to Alaska in January 1978, and experiencing many types of wildlife roaming freely, it became very evident that having a camera (or two) handy was the only way to go. Deb and I have varied photographic interests ranging from wildlife (four legged variety to the two legged with wings), sunrises/sunsets, landscapes, nature, the Aurora Borealis (aka: Northern Lights), and our biggest passion…..Eagles. While I enjoy capturing Eagles in flight, Deb prefers capturing close-ups and portrait shots. We enjoy capturing the true essence of Alaska, wherever that may take us. We seem to go through life without really noticing what is going on around us, while the camera captures what the eye might not see, freezing it for posterity.

All of our wildlife photos were taken in the wild, including our Eagle shots.
